Frequently Asked Questions - Swimming Lessons

Every child is different, but on average, you can expect around 64 swimming lessons.

The dates you see in our customer portal, MyWavement, are the actual start dates. It varies how far in advance the starting groups are filled up, day by day.

A viewing lesson is an opportunity for parents or caregivers to attend a swimming lesson and observe how their children learn swimming skills. During a viewing lesson, parents can see how their children are doing, the instructor provides an opportunity to update the parents on the progress, and rewards are distributed.

No, you don't need to notify us if your child is sick. The instructor will indicate at the beginning of each lesson in MyWavement which children are not present.

You don't need (and can't) notify us if your child is sick. The teacher will mark which children are absent at the beginning of each lesson in My Smient.
If your child is long-term sick due to a cast or a hospitalization, please send us an email.

Login to MyWavement , click on "Swimming lessons" under the name of the child for whom you want to schedule a makeup lesson. Go to the "Extra Lessons" tab. Here you will see how many lessons have been missed and how many makeup lessons you can still schedule.

When you are logged in, you will see a large red plus sign in the top right corner. Clicking on that will allow you to register.

Yes, your subscription is only valid for the day you selected during registration.

This happens at the beginning of each month. However, you can enroll at any time during the week.

If the teacher/lifeguard is sick, we will try to arrange a substitute teacher/lifeguard to conduct the class.
